AI keyword research that filters by what you can actually rank for.

Most keyword tools dump 50,000 rows on you and call it done. Ranket starts from your domain authority, your existing SERP positions, and your sitemap topics — then surfaces the keywords where the math actually works.

A 50,000-row CSV is not a strategy.

Ahrefs, Semrush, and the rest are great at one thing: cataloguing every keyword on the internet. They're bad at the next step — telling you which of those keywords you could realistically rank for given your DR, your topical authority, and the time you have to ship articles.

The result: you stare at a sortable table for an afternoon, pick a few keywords that look juicy, then watch them sit at position 47 for six months because the SERP is full of DR-80 publishers. Ranket fixes the input, not just the output.

Four signals, one opportunity score

1. DataForSEO universe

Every queryable keyword, monthly volume, keyword difficulty, SERP features, and competitor URLs at positions 1-10. Refreshed monthly, cached aggressively.

2. Your Search Console

Every query you already get impressions for, with your real position. Page-2 quick wins surface automatically from this feed.

3. Your sitemap + brand profile

Scraped at onboarding — Claude extracts your topical authority, voice, and niche embedding. Keywords get a relevance score against this profile.

4. Your domain authority

Pulled at onboarding and refreshed weekly. Keywords with a SERP average DR more than 20 above yours sink to the bottom of the list.

FAQ

What makes Ranket's keyword research different from Ahrefs or Semrush?
Ahrefs and Semrush show you every keyword in the universe — including thousands you have no realistic chance of ranking for. Ranket starts from your domain: your scraped sitemap, your Google Search Console impressions, your topical authority. Then it filters DataForSEO results to the keywords where the math actually works (KD ≤ your DR, volume ≥ 30, relevance ≥ 0.6). The output is a shortlist you can act on, not a 50,000-row CSV.
Do I need a DataForSEO or Google Search Console account?
No. Ranket bundles DataForSEO access in the subscription — no extra API costs. Google Search Console is free, and we walk you through the 60-second OAuth connection during onboarding. Once connected, GSC impressions feed straight into the quick-wins scoring.
What are "page-2 quick wins"?
Keywords your domain already ranks for at positions 11-20 — meaning you have impressions, relevance, and Google's trust, but you're one page below where the clicks live. A targeted rewrite or new article usually moves these into the top 10 within 2-4 weeks. Ranket surfaces them automatically from your Search Console data.
How does the opportunity score work?
Each keyword gets a single score: (search volume × intent fit) ÷ keyword difficulty, then weighted by how close your domain is to the SERP's average DR. Volume-heavy keywords you can't rank for sink to the bottom; modest-volume keywords inside your authority range rise to the top. Sortable, filterable, exportable.
Can I bring my own seed keywords?
Yes — paste a list, upload a CSV, or import directly from a Google Sheet. Ranket expands each seed via DataForSEO's related/long-tail queries, scores them, and merges with the auto-discovered keywords from your sitemap and GSC.
Does this also discover keywords for AI search (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity)?
Yes. Every keyword in the output is also scored for AI-search intent — question-shaped queries, comparison queries, and how-to queries that LLMs prefer to cite. You can filter the list to just the AI-friendly keywords if you're optimizing for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
How fresh is the keyword data?
DataForSEO updates monthly for volume and SERP positions. Search Console data is current up to 2-3 days ago. Ranket re-scores keywords daily so quick wins surface as soon as they move into the page-2 zone.
Can I just use this without the rest of Ranket?
The keyword engine is part of the €99/mo Pro plan, which also includes the full content automation pipeline, backlink exchange, and CMS integrations. If you want keyword research only — talk to us, we have a research-only plan in private beta.
